Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday provided further facilitation for registration under the government\u2019s fuel subsidy scheme for the low and middle-income segments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the prime minister\u2019s instructions, the SMS required for registration under the Petrol Subsidy Scheme has been made completely free of charge, a press release issued by the PM Office Media Wing said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the scheme, fuel subsidies are being provided to owners of motorcycles, rickshaws and vehicles up to 800cc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The government is extending relief under the Prime Minister\u2019s Fuel Subsidy Scheme across the country, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Applicants can register by sending an SMS to 9771 by typing REG, followed by a space, their CNIC number, vehicle number plate, the first letter of the province where the vehicle is registered, and the vehicle\u2019s registration date. The registration SMS is now free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
