{"id":28920,"date":"2026-09-02T18:23:22","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T13:23:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=28920"},"modified":"2026-09-02T18:23:24","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T13:23:24","slug":"ishaq-dar-meets-sco-secretary-general-outlines-pakistans-priorities-as-new-chair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=28920","title":{"rendered":"Ishaq Dar meets SCO secretary-general, outlines Pakistan\u2019s priorities as new chair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar Tuesday met the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Bishkek and outlined Pakistan\u2019s priorities and strategy after assuming the SCO chairmanship for 2026-27, the Foreign Office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, the SCO secretary-general congratulated Pakistan on assuming the chairmanship of the organization and assured full cooperation and support for the country\u2019s priorities during its tenure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dar briefed the secretary-general on Pakistan\u2019s planned approach and key priorities for the SCO chairmanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two sides agreed to maintain close coordination and undertake joint efforts to advance the organization\u2019s agenda during Pakistan\u2019s chairmanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SCO secretary-general assured Pakistan of the secretariat\u2019s full cooperation in implementing its priorities and facilitating activities planned during the chairmanship period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and Pakistan\u2019s SCO National Coordinator Muhammad Faisal also attended the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pakistan assumed the SCO chairmanship for 2026-27 in September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of its chairmanship, Pakistan is also scheduled to host the next SCO summit in 2027.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar Tuesday met the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Bishkek and outlined Pakistan\u2019s priorities and strategy after assuming the SCO chairmanship for 2026-27, the Foreign Office said.
