{"id":27605,"date":"2026-08-18T16:33:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T11:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=27605"},"modified":"2026-08-18T16:33:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T11:33:11","slug":"govt-to-follow-sc-order-on-pti-founders-health-says-tariq-fazal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=27605","title":{"rendered":"Govt to follow SC order on PTI founder\u2019s health, says Tariq Fazal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Tuesday told the Senate that the government would implement the Supreme Court\u2019s order regarding the health of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in letter and spirit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Responding to points of order, Dr Tariq Fazal said the government would comply with the Supreme Court\u2019s decision to shift the PTI founder to Shifa International Hospital for medical treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said neither Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif nor the government had the authority to overturn or alter court decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the Supreme Court\u2019s decision had demonstrated the independence of the judiciary. He welcomed the PTI\u2019s acknowledgment of the courts\u2019 role in dispensing justice based on merit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Referring to Imran Khan\u2019s legal cases and calls for his release, the minister said such matters could only be decided by the courts through the judicial process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr Tariq Fazal recalled that PML-N leaders, including Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Rana Sanaullah, had also faced imprisonment and sought relief through the courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He urged the opposition to maintain consistency in its approach towards the judiciary instead of praising court decisions when they were favourable and criticising them when they went against them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Tuesday told the Senate that the government would implement the Supreme Court\u2019s order regarding the health of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in letter and spirit.
