An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Thursday extended physical remand of Senator Mushtaq Ahmad by four days in connection with a case registered over a Kashmir protest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senator Mushtaq Ahmad and co-accused Daniyal were produced before the court after completing their initial three-day physical remand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hearing was conducted by Duty Judge Abdul Ghafoor, who granted the remand after hearing arguments from the prosecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the hearing, the prosecution argued that further investigation was necessary, stating that police had yet to recover a vehicle and weapons allegedly linked to the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prosecutors requested a 30-day physical remand, maintaining that additional time was needed to complete the recovery process and collect further evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After considering the prosecution’s request, the court granted a four-day extension of the physical remand instead of the full period sought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
