The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has filed a complaint with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission over alleged irregularities during polling in LA-27 Muzaffarabad.

According to the PPP’s AJK election cell, polling staff deployed at polling station No. 3 in Union Council Behri were allegedly found at the residence of a key PML-N supporter along with official polling bags and ballot papers.

The party on Tuesday claimed that the polling staff had left the designated polling station and moved around two kilometres away to the private residence, where they were allegedly preparing to stamp ballot papers.

The PPP said it had video evidence of the incident and had provided it to election officials, but alleged that no administrative or legal action had been taken so far.

The party also claimed that the same polling staff later returned to the polling station and continued the electoral process.

The PPP termed the alleged incident a serious violation of electoral rules and demanded immediate action from the Election Commission to ensure transparency and credibility of the polling process.

The complaint was submitted by AJK PPP Election Cell in-charge Abdul Shakoor to the Chief Election Commissioner with copies sent to the concerned district returning officer.
