{"id":26123,"date":"2026-08-04T15:41:46","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T10:41:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=26123"},"modified":"2026-08-04T15:42:27","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T10:42:27","slug":"pp-hyderabad-leader-alleges-rigging-and-violence-in-ajk-elections-demands-fresh-polls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=26123","title":{"rendered":"PPP Hyderabad Leader Alleges Rigging and Violence in AJK Elections, Demands Fresh Polls"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hyderabad:<\/strong> Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Hyderabad leader Abdul Mannan Siddiqui has strongly criticized the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, alleging that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) continued its tradition of intimidation, electoral rigging, firing incidents, hooliganism, administrative interference, and other irregularities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement, Siddiqui claimed that these alleged actions demonstrated that the PML-N had never been genuinely committed to democracy, the country, or the public. He referred to the alleged attack on Acting AJK President Latif Akbar in Muzaffarabad, as well as reported firing on voters that, according to him, resulted in the death of a PPP worker, Mushtaq Shah, and injuries to several others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further alleged that polling staff at PPP strongholds were taken under control, polling agents were expelled, and ballot boxes were allegedly replaced with pre-filled ones to secure victories for PML-N candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Siddiqui said that the people of Azad Kashmir would not accept an election that, in his view, undermined their democratic rights. He called on the Election Commission to take serious notice of the alleged irregularities, conduct an impartial inquiry, disqualify candidates found responsible for violence and electoral violations, and hold fresh, free, and transparent elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PPP leader also claimed that the alleged incidents had exposed the true face of the PML-N and argued that the people of Kashmir, like those of Gilgit-Baltistan, had recognized what he described as the party&#8217;s political motives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> The allegations in this statement are those of PPP leader Abdul Mannan Siddiqui.
