{"id":25770,"date":"2026-07-31T18:01:19","date_gmt":"2026-07-31T13:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=25770"},"modified":"2026-07-31T18:01:22","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T13:01:22","slug":"skynomad-xiaomi-launches-suv-series-offering-space-and-reconfigurable-interiors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=25770","title":{"rendered":"SkyNomad: Xiaomi launches SUV series offering space and reconfigurable interiors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BEIJING, July 30: China\u2019s Xiaomi launched an SUV series dubbed SkyNomad on Thursday, expanding its EV lineup into the large-family \u200bSUV segment, as it seeks to boost sales in the \u200ccountry\u2019s ultra-competitive auto market ahead of a planned European launch next year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the SkyNomad, Xiaomi is hoping to boost vehicle deliveries after first-half EV sales reached only about one \u200bthird of its annual target, and as consumer demand softens in \u200bthe world\u2019s largest car market amid a sluggish economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Xiaomi, which \u2060also makes smartphones and home appliances, has positioned SkyNomad as an \u201cintelligent, reconfigurable, \u200blarge-space SUV\u201d, contrasting it with the SU7 sedan and YU7 SUV series \u200bthat focus on driving dynamics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Xiaomi, whose EV business has become an increasingly important source of revenue over the last two years, SkyNomad represents a push into China\u2019s family \u200bSUV market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GASOLINE ENGINE HELPS EXTEND RANGE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The flagship N90 Max, a seven-seat SUV \u200bthat Xiaomi describes as \u201ca house you can move\u201d, combines a 76-kilowatt-hour battery with a 1.5-liter \u200cturbocharged \u2060range extender and a 60-liter fuel tank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Extended-range electric vehicles, or EREVs, are driven primarily by electric motors and use a gasoline engine as an onboard generator to recharge the battery or sustain electricity supply when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSix seats \u200bare not enough for \u200bfamilies \u2026 If we \u2060compare a vehicle to a house, we can freely arrange our space and decorate,\u201d Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun \u200bsaid at its launch event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Xiaomi said the N90 Max, priced \u200bat 299,900 \u2060yuan ($44,397), has a combined range of up to 1,705 km (1,059 miles).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SkyNomad line is built on Xiaomi\u2019s new Kunlun architecture, which the company says was \u2060developed specifically \u200bfor larger SUVs with adaptable cabins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Xiaomi will \u200btake pre-orders starting from Thursday and bring the vehicles to market in September, Lei said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BEIJING, July 30: China\u2019s Xiaomi launched an SUV series dubbed SkyNomad on Thursday, expanding its EV lineup into the large-family \u200bSUV segment, as it seeks to boost sales in the \u200ccountry\u2019s ultra-competitive auto market ahead of a planned European launch next year.
