{"id":25267,"date":"2026-07-27T18:20:54","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T13:20:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=25267"},"modified":"2026-07-27T18:20:57","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T13:20:57","slug":"repatriation-of-illegal-afghans-gains-momentum-in-lahore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=25267","title":{"rendered":"Repatriation of illegal Afghans gains momentum in Lahore"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repatriation of illegal foreigners expedited as more illegal Afghan nationals who had been residing in Lahore since 2005 were arrested and shifted to holding centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A spokesman for Lahore police said that 1,918 Afghan nationals were sent back to their homes and 31 to jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spokesman further added that 56 arrested illegal Afghan nationals were shifted to holding centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kimyana said that all measures are being used to ensure smooth repatriation of illegal Afghan nationals from the provincial capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bilal Siddique Kimyana further directed the Divisional Superintendents of Police to monitor the repatriation of illegal Afghan nationals by themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He directed the Divisional Superintendents of Police to expedite the process of repatriation of all those Afghan nationals who are living after expiry of their visa&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials said the repatriation was carried out in accordance with the government\u2019s ongoing policy for the return of illegal foreign nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials said that the district administration and law enforcement agencies continued to coordinate closely to ensure that the repatriation process was conducted in a safe, dignified and organised manner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Repatriation of illegal foreigners expedited as more illegal Afghan nationals who had been residing in Lahore since 2005 were arrested and shifted to holding centers.
