Landslides were also reported at various points along the Karakoram Highway, disrupting road traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The highway has remained closed since last night near <strong>Governor Farm Nursery in Chilas<\/strong>, where a powerful flash flood crossed the road. The closure has left <strong>long queues of vehicles<\/strong> stranded on both sides of the highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reports indicate that those trapped include <strong>children, women, and elderly passengers<\/strong>, many of whom are facing severe difficulties due to the prolonged road closure. Stranded travelers have urged the government and relevant authorities to restore the Karakoram Highway as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities have launched operations to assess the extent of the damage and begin rehabilitation work, including the restoration of damaged roads and bridges.
