LAHORE:<\/strong> Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore, Faisal Kamran<\/strong>, has stated that the two foreign women allegedly abducted in Lahore were rescued through a police operation and did not leave captivity on their own, rejecting claims circulating on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing a press conference regarding the high-profile case involving the alleged abduction and sexual assault of two foreign nationals, the DIG said the Punjab Police acted swiftly after receiving information about the incident and successfully traced and recovered the victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faisal Kamran said reports suggesting that the women had managed to escape without police assistance were inaccurate. According to him, the victims themselves stated in their recorded statements that they had been recovered by the Punjab Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe claims being circulated on social media that the foreign women came out on their own are incorrect,\u201d the DIG said. \u201cThe victims have clearly stated in their statements that they were rescued by the Punjab Police.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He explained that investigators made extensive use of Safe City surveillance cameras<\/strong> to reconstruct the suspects\u2019 movements and identify the route taken by the vehicle allegedly used in the crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police teams analyzed footage from multiple locations and tracked the vehicle\u2019s movements across Lahore. Using technological surveillance and location-tracing methods, investigators were able to identify and arrest the suspects involved in the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Safe City camera network enabled us to determine where the vehicle traveled,\u201d Faisal Kamran said. \u201cAfter tracing its location, police teams successfully arrested the accused.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DIG revealed that the first information regarding the alleged abduction was received from the father of one of the foreign women<\/strong>, who contacted authorities after losing communication with his daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further disclosed that the embassy of the victims\u2019 country wanted the women to be repatriated as quickly as possible following their recovery. However, the Punjab Police requested that they remain in Pakistan for an additional day so that their formal statements could be recorded and medical examinations completed as part of the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Faisal Kamran, the women cooperated fully with investigators during the legal process. Once their medical examinations and statements had been completed, arrangements were made for their departure from Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DIG also highlighted the involvement of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz<\/strong>, saying she personally contacted police officials after the case came to light and instructed them to ensure that the investigation was conducted strictly on merit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe directed us to investigate the case fairly and without any influence,\u201d Faisal Kamran said. \u201cHer instructions were clear: whoever is found guilty must be punished in accordance with the law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that the chief minister emphasized transparency throughout the investigation and directed law enforcement agencies to ensure that justice was served regardless of the status or influence of those involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Providing an update on the legal proceedings, the DIG said that all arrested suspects were produced before a court in handcuffs<\/strong>, demonstrating the seriousness with which the case is being handled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police subsequently obtained the suspects\u2019 physical remand<\/strong>, allowing investigators additional time to question them, gather evidence, and verify the allegations made by the complainants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faisal Kamran said the investigation remains ongoing and that forensic evidence, digital records, surveillance footage, witness statements, and other material are being examined to establish the complete sequence of events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case has attracted significant public attention in Pakistan and internationally because it involves foreign nationals and serious criminal allegations. Authorities have emphasized that the investigation is being conducted under the law and that all evidence will be presented before the courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under Pakistan\u2019s legal system, the allegations against the accused remain subject to judicial proceedings.
