Dhaka: Prominent student movement leader Sharif Usman Hadi has been laid to rest in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Bangladeshi media, the funeral prayers of Sharif Usman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha, who succumbed to his injuries in Singapore after being critically wounded in an assassination attempt, were offered at the South Plaza of the Parliament in Dhaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Media reports said that thousands of people, including Bangladesh\u2019s Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, attended Sharif Usman Hadi\u2019s funeral prayers. Later, the student movement leader was buried amid tears and sobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is worth recalling that the body of Bangladeshi student leader Sharif Usman Hadi was brought from Singapore to Dhaka a day earlier, and Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus had announced a one-day mourning on his death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharif Usman Hadi passed away on Thursday night at Singapore General Hospital. On December 12, he sustained serious head injuries when attackers opened fire on him during an election campaign in the Puran Paltan area of Dhaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was initially shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Evercare Hospital, and later, on December 15, he was taken to Singapore for better treatment, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharif Usman Hadi was one of the key leaders of the student movement that overthrew the Hasina Wajed government in July 2025, and he also served as the spokesperson for Inqilab Mancha, a political platform formed by student leaders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
