The successful actions, conducted over two days in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan, are being hailed as a significant blow to foreign-sponsored terrorism in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a detailed statement released by the <strong>Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)<\/strong>, intelligence-based operations were launched on <strong>15 and 16 November<\/strong> in response to credible reports regarding the presence of high-profile militants belonging to the network referred to as <em>Fitan al-Khawarij<\/em>, a group accused of receiving logistical and financial support from foreign handlers, particularly India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Operations Conducted in D.I. Khan and North Waziristan<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Security forces carried out two separate IBOs (Intelligence-Based Operations) within a span of 48 hours. The first operation was conducted in <strong>Kulachi<\/strong>\u2014a rural area of Dera Ismail Khan district known for past militant infiltration\u2014while the second operation took place in <strong>Datta Khel<\/strong>, an area situated close to the Afghan border in North Waziristan, historically recognized as a stronghold of militant factions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ISPR reported that the forces \u201ceffectively engaged and destroyed\u201d the hideouts used by the terrorists for planning attacks, storing weapons, and coordinating cross-border movements. Ground troops were supported by surveillance drones, precision-guided weapons, and real-time intelligence input from multiple security agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Militant Leader Among Those Killed<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most significant outcomes of the operation was the elimination of <strong>Alam Mehsud<\/strong>, described by ISPR as a senior militant commander and the mastermind of several recent attacks targeting both civilians and security personnel in southern KP. He was reportedly responsible for coordinating suicide bombings, extortion networks, and cross-border facilitation for foreign intelligence operatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement emphasized that Mehsud\u2019s death would severely disrupt the group\u2019s command structure and limit its ability to reorganize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to ISPR, ten militants were killed in the first operation, while five more were neutralized in the second, bringing the total to 15. All of the slain militants are believed to have played direct roles in recent terrorist activities in KP, including attacks on security checkpoints, targeted killings, and improvised explosive device (IED) blasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Indian-Backed Network Under Focus<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The military\u2019s statement highlighted that the terrorists belonged to outfits \u201csupported by Indian agencies\u201d whose objective is to destabilize Pakistan and fuel unrest in the region.
