These entities are accused of supplying materials, technology, and financial services to Iran\u2019s missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) programs through <strong>clandestine procurement networks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Treasury Department claimed that these networks have played a key role in advancing Iran\u2019s weapons programs and pose a <strong>direct threat to U.S. interests and its allies in the Middle East<\/strong>, as well as to <strong>commercial activities in the Mediterranean region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThese sanctions are part of our continued efforts to disrupt Iran\u2019s destabilizing military activities,\u201d the department\u2019s statement read. \u201cWe are committed to working closely with our partners and allies to prevent Iran from expanding its missile and drone capabilities, which continue to endanger regional stability and global trade routes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The newly sanctioned individuals and firms will have their <strong>U.S.-based assets frozen<\/strong>, and American citizens or companies are <strong>prohibited from engaging in transactions<\/strong> with them. In addition, foreign firms found dealing with the sanctioned entities risk being cut off from the U.S. financial system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Washington\u2019s latest move comes amid increasing international concern over Iran\u2019s growing <strong>missile and drone exports<\/strong>, particularly to militant and proxy groups in the Middle East, as well as to Russia for use in the ongoing war in Ukraine. U.S. officials have accused Tehran of supplying <strong>Shahed-series drones<\/strong> and precision-guided munitions that have been used in strikes against civilian and military targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Analysts say the sanctions are designed not only to restrict Iran\u2019s access to high-grade materials and technology but also to <strong>disrupt its transnational procurement networks<\/strong> that rely on intermediaries and front companies in Asia and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In recent months, the U.S. and its European allies have intensified their scrutiny of Iran\u2019s defense collaborations, especially in the wake of reports that Tehran is helping Moscow enhance drone production capacity inside Russia.
