The operation was conducted on the directives of <strong>Senior Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon<\/strong>, <strong>Secretary Asad Zamin<\/strong>, and <strong>Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secretary RTA Saleem Memon was accompanied by <strong>Motorway Police Inspector Noor Hassan Khask<\/strong>, <strong>Sub-Inspector Khalid Dehraj<\/strong>, and other officials during the large-scale enforcement drive. The operation aimed to ensure strict compliance with transport regulations and the <strong>Motor Vehicle Ordinance<\/strong>, targeting vehicles operating <strong>without valid route permits, fitness certificates, or exceeding load limits<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to official sources, <strong>95 vehicles<\/strong> were fined for various violations including lack of route permits, expired or fake fitness certificates, and overloading. A total of <strong>Rs. 222,500 in fines<\/strong> was imposed during the crackdown. The campaign was part of a broader provincial initiative to regulate public transport and improve road safety standards across Sindh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking to the media, <strong>Secretary RTA Saleem Memon<\/strong> stated that vehicles found operating <strong>without proper documentation or using fake fitness certificates<\/strong> were in clear violation of the law. \u201cSuch breaches of the <strong>Motor Vehicle Ordinance<\/strong> will not be tolerated,\u201d he asserted, emphasizing that <strong>more rigorous and frequent operations<\/strong> would be carried out in the coming days to curb illegal practices within the transport sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that public transport operators have been repeatedly warned to obtain proper permits and maintain vehicle fitness, but many continue to disregard official regulations. \u201cWe are committed to ensuring that every passenger and goods vehicle operating in Hyderabad and surrounding districts complies with safety, fitness, and permit requirements,\u201d Memon said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Secretary further stated that the drive was not only about penalizing violators but also about promoting <strong>public awareness regarding transport laws<\/strong>. \u201cEvery transporter must understand that adhering to safety and permit standards is in everyone\u2019s best interest \u2014 it ensures passenger safety, reduces road accidents, and maintains traffic discipline,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He reiterated that no individual or company will be allowed to operate vehicles <strong>outside the legal framework<\/strong>, and the department would maintain <strong>zero tolerance<\/strong> toward corruption or negligence in enforcing transport regulations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HyderabadThe Regional Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Hyderabad, Saleem Memon, led an extensive day-long crackdown against passenger coaches, vans, and overloaded vehicles across the region.
