During the operation, one suspect was apprehended, while his accomplice managed to escape from the scene after throwing away a bag containing drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The arrested suspect has been identified as <strong>Saqib, son of Abdullah<\/strong>, while the absconding accomplice was identified as <strong>Sajid alias Chee Chee, son of Fazal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon searching the arrested suspect, the police recovered <strong>506 grams of cannabis (charas)<\/strong>, <strong>cash proceeds from drug sales<\/strong>, and <strong>a mobile phone<\/strong> used in the illegal trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the bag discarded by the fleeing suspect Sajid was also recovered, which contained an additional <strong>550 grams of cannabis<\/strong>. The police have also seized a <strong>motorcycle (registration number KOY-0036)<\/strong> found in the possession of the arrested suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A case has been registered against the suspect <strong>under FIR No. 837\/2025<\/strong>, <strong>Section 9(1) 3(b) of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 2024 (CNSA)<\/strong>, at the <strong>Boat Basin Police Station<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the registration of the case, the investigation has been formally handed over to the <strong>Crime Investigation Cell (CIC) Clifton Division<\/strong> for further legal proceedings and inquiries into the broader drug network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A spokesperson for the <strong>SSP District South Police<\/strong> commended the Boat Basin team for their effective action and reaffirmed the department\u2019s commitment to intensifying operations against drug trafficking and other criminal elements in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the Karachi South Police remain vigilant and dedicated to ensuring a <strong>drug-free environment<\/strong>, particularly in areas prone to narcotics activity.
