The revised fares came into effect today, with an increment ranging from Rs. 150 to Rs. 250 depending on the class of travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In exchange for the higher fares, passengers will now be provided with complimentary refreshments during the journey, the spokesperson confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new fare structure is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>AC Parlour: Rs. 2,500<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AC Business: Rs. 2,250<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AC Standard: Rs. 2,100<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economy Class: Rs. 1,300<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pakistan Railways has defended the decision, stating that the adjustment was necessary due to rising operational and fuel costs. Officials assured that despite the increase, the service remains one of the most affordable and comfortable options for intercity travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fare hike has received mixed reactions from passengers.
