Local clubs in Vehari and Jahanian observed moments of silence in his memory.

The emotional weight of seeing the tragedy unfold on video has further intensified the grief, with many urging authorities to honor his contribution to kabaddi in some official capacity.

Looking Ahead: Lessons for the Future

The passing of Makhha Jatt during a kabaddi match should serve as a wake-up call for sports organizers across Pakistan. Ensuring that athletes are medically fit, that tournaments have proper medical arrangements, and that emergency response is swift could help avoid similar tragedies.

Sports experts suggest:

Mandatory Pre-Match Medical Exams – especially cardiac health checks.

On-Site Ambulances and Paramedics – to provide immediate life-saving treatment.

First Aid and CPR Training – for coaches and referees.

Such measures could ensure that traditional sports like kabaddi not only thrive but also safeguard the lives of athletes.

Conclusion

The sudden death of kabaddi player Makhha Jatt in Vehari has cast a dark shadow over the sport in Pakistan.
