In a series of emotional posts on social media, Hasin Jahan accused the cricketer of neglecting their daughter, Ira, while showering expensive gifts and privileges on the children of his alleged girlfriends.

Hasin Jahan’s Accusations

According to reports in Indian media, Hasin Jahan took to Instagram to share her grievances. She posted a photo of their daughter Ira and wrote that despite Shami’s attempts to prevent her from receiving quality education, Allah’s blessings helped secure Ira’s admission into an international school.

Her post read:

“By the grace of Allah, today I am very happy. The enemies wished my daughter wouldn’t get admission to a good school, but with Allah’s blessings, she is now enrolled in an international school. Alhamdulillah.”

She further alleged that:

Mohammed Shami, despite being a millionaire, deliberately avoided supporting his own daughter’s education.

He was busy spending lavishly on other women and ensuring their children attended top schools.

Shami allegedly financed luxury trips for some women, even sending them on business-class flights worth lakhs of rupees, while refusing to contribute towards his daughter’s basic educational expenses.

“A Father Who Chose Girlfriends Over His Daughter”

In one of her most striking allegations, Hasin Jahan said:

“A father who is a billionaire was playing with his daughter’s life because of his obsession with women, while giving the best facilities to his girlfriends’ children.”

She added that if not for the protection of law in India, she and her daughter would have been left without any rights or support.

Court Ruling on Financial Support

It is worth noting that just last month, the Calcutta High Court intervened in their ongoing divorce and maintenance case. The court ordered Mohammed Shami to provide a monthly allowance of ₹4 lakh to his ex-wife and daughter.

₹1.5 lakh per month is to be paid to Hasin Jahan.

₹2.5 lakh per month is to be paid for their daughter Ira’s expenses.

The ruling came after a lengthy legal battle, ensuring that Shami remains financially accountable for his daughter’s upbringing and education.

Background of the Controversy

Mohammed Shami and Hasin Jahan’s marriage has been marred by controversy since 2018, when she first accused him of domestic violence, infidelity, and harassment. The matter quickly escalated into a public scandal, with allegations of multiple affairs dominating headlines.

Over the years, their disputes have moved between the courts and social media, with Hasin Jahan consistently accusing Shami of neglect and betrayal. Despite this, Shami has remained focused on his cricketing career, representing India in key tournaments, though his personal life continues to attract scrutiny.

The Bigger Picture

The accusations highlight a troubling pattern where high-profile athletes and celebrities face challenges in balancing personal responsibilities with their public lives. For Hasin Jahan, the matter seems less about money and more about her daughter’s dignity and future.

While the courts have ensured a steady financial provision, her social media posts suggest that the emotional scars and bitterness from the failed marriage continue to run deep.

Conclusion

The allegations from Hasin Jahan once again place Mohammed Shami under uncomfortable public attention, raising questions about his role as a father versus his lifestyle choices. With the court’s ruling now in effect, Ira’s educational and financial security seems safeguarded, but the public feud between Shami and his former wife shows no signs of ending soon.

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami is once again in the spotlight, not for his on-field performances but for serious allegations made by his former wife, Hasin Jahan.
