Pakistan’s former cricket captain Wasim Akram’s wife, Shaniera Akram, has strongly criticized actress Hania Aamir’s recent viral video in which she was seen dancing on a moving motorcycle. The video, which quickly circulated on social media platforms, sparked both amusement and concern among viewers, but Shaniera took a firm stand, labeling the act as highly irresponsible and dangerous.

Taking to her Instagram story, Shaniera expressed her deep disappointment over such behavior, especially when it comes from a public figure or celebrity with a massive following. She stressed that celebrities and influencers carry a significant responsibility, as their actions often influence the behavior of countless fans, including impressionable young audiences.

In her statement, Shaniera addressed all influencers directly, urging them to avoid promoting any activity that could endanger lives. “Do not put our children’s lives at risk with such actions,” she warned. She reminded people that one reckless stunt could result in tragic consequences, costing multiple lives in a matter of seconds.

Highlighting the seriousness of the issue, Shaniera pointed out that human life is irreplaceable. “Nothing is more valuable than life,” she said, adding that history is filled with unfortunate incidents where similar stunts have led to fatal accidents. She referred to the numerous lives lost due to risky motorcycle tricks, stressing that such acts should not be romanticized or showcased as fun.

Shaniera went on to make a heartfelt appeal to the public, urging everyone to ride motorcycles carefully and always wear helmets for their own safety. “Even if you don’t do it for yourself, do it for your parents, relatives, and friends who love you,” she pleaded. She explained that a single moment of recklessness could result in a lifetime of grief for the people who care about you.

The incident gained further attention when netizens themselves began criticizing Hania Aamir. Many social media users condemned her act, calling it dangerous and irresponsible. While some defended it as harmless fun, a large majority sided with Shaniera’s opinion, arguing that celebrities must set an example for safe behavior, particularly when millions watch and emulate them.

Hania Aamir, known for her bubbly and playful personality, often shares lighthearted videos with her fans, but this particular stunt crossed a line for many. Riding on a motorcycle without proper safety measures is already risky, but adding dance moves to it — especially in a public setting — amplified the danger. Critics argued that such videos, when shared publicly, can unintentionally encourage others, particularly young fans, to try and replicate them without realizing the risks involved.

Shaniera’s comments resonate strongly with ongoing campaigns in Pakistan promoting road safety and the mandatory use of helmets. In recent years, traffic authorities have repeatedly emphasized that reckless driving and performing stunts are among the leading causes of fatal road accidents in the country. Motorcycles, being less stable than cars, make such actions even more hazardous.

Her statement also reflects a growing sentiment among responsible social media users who believe that influencers should be more mindful of their content. In an era where viral trends can spread within minutes, it becomes increasingly important for celebrities to recognize the potential impact of their actions.

Shaniera concluded her remarks by reminding everyone that safety should always come first. “No amount of thrill or entertainment is worth risking a human life,” she said. She urged her followers to value their own well-being and the peace of mind of their loved ones above any fleeting moment of excitement.

This is not the first time Shaniera Akram has spoken out on social issues. Over the years, she has been vocal about public safety, road discipline, and community responsibility. Her stance in this matter once again shows her commitment to raising awareness about issues that could save lives.

The viral video of Hania Aamir’s motorcycle dance may have initially been intended as harmless fun, but the wave of criticism it generated — from both the public and high-profile figures like Shaniera — has sparked an important conversation about the influence of celebrities and the responsibilities that come with fame.

As road safety campaigns continue across Pakistan, Shaniera’s strong message serves as a reminder that no matter how thrilling a stunt may look on camera, real life has no retakes. Once a mistake happens on the road, it can lead to irreversible loss. Celebrities, with their vast audiences, can either contribute to the problem by glamorizing risky acts or be part of the solution by modeling safe behavior. Shaniera clearly hopes for the latter.
