A grand and colorful ceremony was held in New Pind to commemorate Pakistan\u2019s Independence Day alongside the symbolic commemoration of the \u201cBattle for Truth.\u201d The event was organized with great enthusiasm, attracting a large number of residents, officials, and notable community figures who came together to express their patriotism and solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony\u2019s highlight was the formal inauguration of the upgradation and beautification of the New Pind Overhead Bridge by Mayor of Sukkur, Arsalan Sheikh. The bridge had been transformed into a visual spectacle, adorned with traditional Sindhi Ajrak flags as well as the green and white colors of Pakistan\u2019s national flag. The vibrant decorations not only reflected the spirit of freedom but also paid homage to the cultural heritage of Sindh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address to the crowd, Mayor Arsalan Sheikh emphasized the dual significance of the occasion. He stated, \u201cAlong with celebrating our Independence Day, we are also marking a symbolic victory in the battle for truth. The Pakistan Army has given India a strong and fitting response, showing the world that our nation stands firm and resolute. Today, the entire world looks at Pakistan with pride, recognizing the courage and sacrifices of our armed forces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mayor further recalled Pakistan\u2019s historic resilience in the face of adversity. Referring to the 1965 war, he asserted, \u201cPakistan has avenged the sacrifices of that time. The bravery and unity displayed by our soldiers and people remain a source of inspiration. Soon, InshaAllah, we will see the liberation of Kashmir, and when that day comes, we will celebrate it as the Victory Day of Kashmir.\u201d His passionate words drew applause from the audience, many of whom waved flags and chanted patriotic slogans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was marked by a sense of unity and pride, as attendees from all walks of life came together. Distinguished guests included Town Chairman Azizullah Mughal, prominent social figure Haji Muhammad Deen, community leader Agha Bashir Tareen, political activist Murtaza Ghungroo, social worker Huzoor Bakhsh Mirani, senior citizen and mentor Abdul Sami Pirzada, respected figure Rana Waseem, philanthropist Haji Ehsan Lashari, and education advocate Shafiq Pirzada, along with many other notable personalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each attendee reflected a different facet of Pakistan\u2019s vibrant social fabric, and their presence underscored the importance of community participation in national celebrations. Elderly participants reminisced about the early days of Pakistan and the struggles the nation faced, urging the youth to cherish and safeguard the freedom that was hard-earned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the patriotic speeches, the event featured recitations of national songs and poetry highlighting the sacrifices made by Pakistan\u2019s armed forces.
